Bill Denzel is vice president at Barna. He oversees the company’s new ventures as well as strategic initiatives and alliances. Bill has more than two decades of experience in the publishing and advertising industries. His connection to Barna began while he was at Gospel Light/Regal Books, where he published George Barna’s books. During his time there, Bill worked with many other bestselling authors such as Coach John Wooden, Neil T. Anderson, Shane Claiborne, Dennis Rainey, Gary Smalley and John Perkins, to name just a few. He was instrumental in the creation and launch of many bestselling books including Moments Together for Couples by Dennis and Barbara Rainey and Victory over the Darkness by Neil Anderson, which has sold more than a million copies.
A church planter himself, Bill has spent the majority of his career serving the church. He has also served multiple non-profits and authors through The Denzel Agency. He began his career at advertising agency Foote Cone & Belding in creative production.
Bill has held positions as a writer, creative director, marketing director, vice president of publishing and chief creative officer. His education includes a BA in English Literature from UCLA and an MBA from CSUN, with a concentration in management. He also spent a year studying at UC Berkeley.
