January 16 – May 1, 2024. We will take off the week before Easter.
Applications are due December 17, 2023 at the latest, but this is a rolling admissions cohort and spots are limited, so there is no guarantee that seats for Spring 2024 will remain available throughout the whole fall.
Barna will host biweekly 60-minute Zoom cohort gatherings at 1pm ET on Thursdays; we highly encourage attending live, but replays will also be made available on-demand. Flexible coaching sessions and workshops will also be scheduled throughout the 100 days at times accommodating to your schedule.
Additionally, there is a notable time requirement asked of participants outside of the formal Accelerator gatherings for tasks like assessment deployment and results analysis and ministry planning activities. Barna recommends reserving 1-2 additional hours per week throughout the 100 days for these activities.
Church leaders with decision-making authority within their churches at large are encouraged to attend the ChurchHealth Accelerator, as we believe that effective vision-casting and change-making should start at the highest levels of leadership. Church leaders representing all denominations and church sizes are welcome.
The ChurchHealth Accelerator is a high-value, comprehensive program led by Barna executives. The cost for participation is $5,000 per church. Up to three representatives per church are invited to participate. Seats for additional participants may be purchased.
Early bird discounts for the ChurchHealth Accelerator may be available depending on your application timing, but please note that we do not offer scholarships for this program.

The ChurchPulse assessment serves as the foundational tool within the ChurchHealth Accelerator, providing pastors with valuable insights on their congregation’s health and enabling data-informed decisions to drive transformation and growth. All Accelerator churches are REQUIRED to deploy this assessment to their congregation during the first 30 days of the Accelerator. Yes, the ChurchHealth Accelerator is designed to provide valuable insights and aid to churches of all sizes, including smaller congregations. Its approach is flexible and tailored to meet the unique needs and challenges that smaller churches may face. The program’s goal is to help churches of varying sizes revitalize and grow, making it an inclusive and effective resource for smaller churches seeking to improve their health and reach their potential.
The ChurchHealth Accelerator offers custom ministry solutions by first conducting a thorough assessment of each church’s unique strengths and weaknesses. Then, our expert team provides tailored guidance, strategies, consulting and activities to help craft and implement solutions in response to assessment learnings.
You will leave the Accelerator with a deeper understanding of your congregation’s overall health and well-being and a consolidated list of key areas where your ministry needs to improve in its pursuit of health. You will also walk away with a list of ministry solutions designed to respond to your church’s areas of need and a plan for how to implement them well.
While the Barna team will remain available after the 100-day program, please note that communication and support will be available in a limited capacity, with most interactions concluding at the end of the 100-day period.
