The State of Pastors Summit

Six Trends Shaping the Future of Pastoral Leadership

March 6 - 12:00 PM ET

Summit

This free webcast will be broken up into two main sessions, each featuring new research presented by Barna CEO David Kinnaman and applications offered by guest contributors.

Session 1 focuses on emerging trends related to pastors’ calling, mental and emotional health and relationships.

Session 2 takes a closer look at the challenges pastors are facing in ministry right now, exploring the future of teaching and preaching, the increase in doubt around pastors’ credibility and what it looks like to empower the next generation of pastors.

A 40-minute breakout session in between the two main sessions will allow registrants to discuss relevant topics related to the data and brainstorm practical solutions and next steps. (Breakout session titles and session leaders forthcoming.)

A viewer’s guide will also be provided one week ahead of the summit, allowing pastors, church staff and organizations to sit with the data and think through what these findings mean for their specific context.

Everyone can play a role in ensuring a brighter future for the Church.

Over the past few years, pastors have faced myriad challenges, causing many to feel discouraged and even doubtful about their ministry calling to the pastorate. While data from 2021 and into 2022 showed a drastic decrease in pastors’ confidence and sense of security, recent data show some hopeful increases.

Join us in supporting the U.S. pastorate right now. We invite pastors, church staff, church volunteers, organizations, and anyone else interested in encouraging pastors right now, to register for this free webcast. You can register individually, or as a team.
