How teens want the world to change and what they need to make an impact

Young people are seemingly oriented toward justice and activism—a trend Barna has tracked for decades, and now, on a global scale. Today’s teens have a high conviction toward justice—they want to see change in the world and can envision themselves being part of it. Having confidence to act on injustices, however, doesn’t come easy for today’s teens.

Making the Connection

A through-line emerges that the Church can’t ignore: the most compassionate, faithful and committed teens have high expectations for their churches to be front and center on justice issues—and to equip them and others to make an impact.
